Pelvic Floor Kinetics for Pole & Dance

Do you struggle with "feeling your core?" Do you have a difficult time maintaining your grip or slipping out of moves you find challenging? Do you hold your breath or clench your jaw when things get tough on (or off) the pole?

In this 90-minute workshop, we will use focused exercises and explorative movement on and off the pole to access your pelvic floor. You will learn how accessing the pelvic floor can make things like pulling, inverting, and pushing feel easier. You will create a connection between your shoulders and core to feel lighter in pulling and pushing movements using traditional and nontraditional exercises. In addition to the material presented in the workshop, you will receive a PDF so you can carry this connection forward in your pole training.

Pre-reqs: None, all levels welcome! A quick homework assignment will be emailed the day before the workshop. It is not required but will assist you in getting the most out of the workshop.

Attire: Bring pole wear if there are pole move(s) you would like to workshop.
