How did this all come to be?
It’s 2012, pole is pretty unknown and two women walk into a local pole studio. Did they become instant friends….? Not even close! Those two introverts might never have spoken to each other, changing the course of VRV3 history as we know it. Luckily, they were paired together for a performance and through that duet, a friendship and sisterhood was born.
Fast forward a few years, Anna and Mel had begun teaching pole and were fully in love with the art form and how it could change people’s lives for the better. But they just weren’t seeing a pole space in SF that matched their vision of what the pole community could become. So they decided to create that space themselves: a welcoming and creative space for people to dance, explore and find a chosen family. While celebrating Melanie’s Bachelorette Party in Vegas the dream slowly began to turn into a real plan.
In 2016, they opened a small studio in North Beach. In that space they learned and started to grow their business. A cozy single-room studio where students became friends and even instructors. In 2019, they were able to open the current location in the Lower Haight neighborhood where they continue to grow their amazing community.
Over the years we’ve had the honor of working with so many amazing instructors and students that we are lucky enough to call our friends.
