The Management Team

Anna
Program Director

Anna found an online deal in early 2012 and took her first pole class. That first class quickly sparked a passion for the sport. Pole combines dance artistry with fitness and acrobatics. All of these elements brought together Anna's background in gymnastics and dance. She was a competitive gymnast from ages 4-13 and is classically trained in ballet and contemporary. She received her degree in Nutritional Science with a minor in dance from the University of California, Berkeley. Pole has allowed her to develop a new level of strength and creative freedom. A year after starting pole, she began teaching classes.

Anna loves to show people that pole can be much more than a dance reserved for strip clubs and her goal is to make both men and women will feel comfortable trying pole and hopefully falling in love with it, too!

Most recently, Anna is the GGC Gold Medalist, Championship Level 4 Juniors & Seniors.

Christy
Business Development Director

Christy spent 10 years running marathons and cycling hundreds of miles as an endurance athlete.  In 2015, she tried a pole class for cross training.  She had no prior formal dance or gymnastics training, but then a fire was sparked and she never looked back. Since starting her pole journey she has consistently trained both strength and flexibility and is now healthier and more fit than she ever thought possible.

Christy has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA in Business Management.  She spent the last 15 years of her career in the Technology industry focused on sales, project management, product marketing, and vendor relations. She worked with companies of all sizes, from small business to Fortune 50, helping them refine priorities and requirements in order to exceed growth goals.  She is now excited to bring her experience to VRV3 Studios and take the pole world by storm!

Melanie
Marketing Director

Melanie received her dual degrees at the University of California at Berkeley in English and Statistics. It was there that she took her first jazz dance class and instantly fell in love. Her training is based in jazz dance with ballet and hip hop technique. After graduating, she joined a competitive partner aerials salsa team in San Francisco, The Latin Symbolics, where she went on to train and compete with her dance partner for 7 years. After retiring from salsa, Melanie was on the hunt for another extreme fitness regime to apply herself to. That is when she discovered pole dance and fitness, and only after a year, she began teaching.

Melanie understands that there is no one-size-fits-all way of learning, and enjoys finding new ways of making pole accessible and achievable to everyone. Her students love her hands-on and tailored teaching style and her positive attitude that makes learning pole so fun!

Most recently, Melanie is the GGC Silver Medalist, Championship Level 3 Seniors.
